In Parshas Chukas, God behaves almost like a blogger. Rather than authoring his own material, our Lord and Creator twice references the published work of other people.

No. Note your error.
Targum is not in error, or mistranslating. Targum translates Zonah as Pundakita. Rashi understands that to be a literal translation. So he says that Targum has Zonah meaning “inkeeper”.
Radak says that the word Pundakita is a euphemism.
