Minyan

We are a fully egalitarian potluck Friday Night minyan in Lakeview, Chicago. Our meetings have had over 20 people and had great singing.

We meet on the third Friday of the month. Our next meeting is November 20th.

Come for egal kabbalat shabbat, maariv, and a dairy/veggie kosher potluck dinner. We’re trying out a ‘two table system‘, a more pluralistic approach to varying kashrut practices, for this event– one strictly kosher table, and one vegetarian table.  If you buy food, it should have a supervision such as   Acceptable Kosher Supervisions 2009 (PDF).  Wine must be mevushal (boiled).

Let us know if you can come, if you’d like to lead something, what you can bring, if you’d ever like to host, and if you’re bringing anyone.  We’d love for this to be minyan with great tunes, spirit, food, and friends.

We need people for
* Kabbalat Shabbat
* Dvar Torah
* Maariv
* Kiddush

Also, bring your own siddur, kippah, and if you have a cool bencher/birkon, that too.
